Who needs a seat, what the two permission levels do, and what pricing is planned once WarehouseQ actually has a live AppSource offer to point to.

Two permission levels

Warehouse operator. Scans and posts, within whatever operations that operator’s location supports. This is the license every floor worker needs, and it’s the level the mobile scanning surface is built around — an operator with this level never needs desk-client access to do their job.

Administrator. Configures the app, manages licenses, and can view activity without necessarily having posting rights themselves. This level doesn’t require a floor seat to be useful — a manager who never personally scans a box can still configure the app and see what’s happening on the floor.

Where the check actually happens

The licensing check is enforced at the point it actually matters to the business — when the mobile scanner is opened, and again immediately before a scan posts — not just once, at the moment the app is installed. An unlicensed device is stopped from posting a transaction; it isn’t merely shown a warning it can dismiss and continue past. That’s a deliberate design choice: a licensing check that only runs once, at install, would let a device that later loses its license keep posting indefinitely until someone happened to notice.

$95 per user, per month — 3-seat minimum, 30-day free trial.

The pricing is deliberately sized for a small warehouse team rather than an enterprise floor — a three-seat minimum is a genuinely low bar to clear, not a number chosen to make a small operation’s per-seat cost look artificially low against a much larger implied deployment.
